WHAM!
My first Wham! experience was through their 80’s hit “Careless Whisper”, in fact I didn’t even know it was a duo. As a part of great male bands from the 80’s, just like Duran-Duran, Spandau Ballet, Culture Club and/or Men At Work, their musics are mostly characterized with easy beats, heavy use of synthesizers/brass instruments. Despite their short life as duo (they broke up around 1986), they managed to steal the world’s attention with their hits. As quoted from Wikipedia, “Wham! sold 25 million certified records worldwide from 1982 to 1986”, their musics is timeless until now. After breaking up, George Michael continued to pursue success in a solo career, an achievement he makes until today.
